Hey! I’m a pastor and theologian who writes to help you stay tethered to your faith while asking honest questions about it. I cling to the belief that there’s hope to be found in the darkest of places, a theme that surfaces in my book Dear Boy,: An Epistolary Memoir, a family memoir about mental illness and my big brother’s death in a drunk-driving accident.
I find inspiration for my writing from my seminary studies and my ongoing work as a pastor as I walk with people through questions about the God, the Bible, culture, church and theology.
Whether I do it through writing, preaching, coaching or coffee dates, I feel like I’m in exactly the right place when I’m helping others to see God’s activity in their lives and in the world around them.
