M. A. Torres graduated from  Texas Tech University Health Science Center and works full time as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. However, writing was his first love, a passion which only intensified throughout the years. Kevin Martinez and the Crimson Knights is his first novel, written for his sons after they became avid readers themselves.

M. A. Torres lives in El Paso, Texas with his wife, three boys, and small dog named Lady.
