A promise etched in silver brings hope to two captive women.

Eyes-Like-Sky has suffered and worked hard to gain a tenuous place in her tribe. After years of being an outcast, she has a chance at love and a chance to belong. The arrival of a Cherokee captive, John Whitestone, and his daughter, Tayanita, threatens her carefully made plans. John and Tayanita’s lives are in danger. Helping them could cost Eyes-Like-Sky everything she hopes for.

Tayanita aches for her father. She clings to the treasure, a silver spoon, that Eyes-Like-Sky gave her along with the promise that her father would unlock its secret message. Will he ever return?
