Beverley Green’s First Adventure

Beverley Green’s First Adventure

Because it's never too late...

She wants a simpler life. But will a string of strange events—and even stranger new friends—end up complicating things even more?

Beverley Green has moved back to her home state of Oklahoma to leave big city life behind and settle down in a small town. Some might call it a midlife crisis, but Bev prefers to think of it as the right move. However, after taking a part-time job for the local paper, she gets an unusual assignment to cover a spate of bigfoot sightings. Of course there’s no such thing as Bigfoot … right?! With a newly opened bookstore to tend to, and the added challenge of trying to fit into what is a tight-knit—albeit weird—community, the pressure of it all might be even more challenging than the corporate life she left behind.

Determined to show the residents of Guthrie that she’s got some moxie and can keep up with even the best (and cutest) “Bigfoot Expert,” Bev searches for a way to overcome a childhood fear of non-existent cryptids while earning her place in her new hometown. But it might take more than a Hostess Cupcake to get it all done…

Can Beverley Green find her footing and finally start the life she’s been dreaming of?

Beverley Green’s First Adventure
"I love this book...and the whole series! Beverly Green is a woman on a mission to determine where she wants to go at midlife. She's lived in the big city, and now she's back in her hometown area of Oklahoma, and like a lot of boomerangs, she's essentially starting over. And as anyone who's made a major move knows, that's not easy. What I love about this book is how relatable the character is. Sure, she's raising chickens that want to escape the coop. Sure, she has to handle a Bigfoot spotting assignment for the newspaper when she thinks the whole thing is a crock. But she also wants to start her own business, and she's trying to juggle a boss's expectations while maybe finding romance, if she can just stop spilling food on herself every time the handsome guy is around. You can't help rooting for her. It's a light-hearted, feel-good set of stories that are perfect for summer reading."
