If your children are a different race from you, the way they move through the world is dramatically different from the way you did and do. Their cultural heritage is also different from yours. For example, you may Black, so they are Black, but if their other parent is Hispanic, they are also Hispanic. Raising them in a way that ignores their Hispanic side (just because they may look more Black than Hispanic) will hurt them in the long run. So, here’s some things to do to raise grounded, happy kids who embrace ALL of who they are.
