In 1989 I got invited to be a visiting scholar at a university in the Far East of the then still existing Soviet Union. When I finished my assignment and returned home the Soviet Union was gone. It might have been my fault. You can blame the dissolution on me if you like. I think the statute of limitations has long expired for them to come after me. Besides, I am old and if they did catch up with me, well then … so what?I will say up front that I take my faith seriously. I am not an in-your-face kind of Christian. That kind of approach doesn’t do any good anyway. But being a Christian does inform my actions. If that bothers you, you might want to close the book, and hit delete. No harm, no foul.
