Until she meets Hans, a bon vivant backpacker on a trip around the world.While exploring a quaint village on one of Seattle’s many islands, they’re accosted by a stray puppy and Marty, a boy searching for his missing older brother. Clues link the teen and the puppy causing Sandie to think that the teenager is in serious danger. As Christmas draws near, Sandie and her new friends must save the boy and bring him home, before the unthinkable happens.

"This is such a wonderful story that is perfect for the Christmas season. I enjoyed reading this and I am hoping there will be a lot more stories for these wonderful characters.This takes place before the other books in the series. It gives a wonderful backstory to how Marlowe was adopted and I was never so happy to see the bad guys arrested as I was in this story!A Sandie James Christmas Mystery, this is a short mystery story of Sandie and the man she meets Hans as they look for a missing teen Jake. There is suspense, drama, danger, villains, mystery, dogs, and a budding romance. I enjoyed reading this book, and want to read the next book in the series."
