It’s Rooty’s first day of school in the vegetable patch!
Rooty has that sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach–he’s nervous and doesn’t want to start the school year. He doesn’t know anybody, and nobody knows him. It will be awful. He just knows it.
With a little convincing from his friends, Rooty heads to class. Shy at first, he’s quickly befriended by some new vegetables and is reminded that everyone at school gets the jitters sometimes.
