Serhii Komar is a game developer and entrepreneur who taught himself. He started out with a book on programming and a passion to make games. His initial venture, a mobile puzzle game, showed that making games could become more than just a hobby.
After an initial studio failure, he decided to bet everything, selling his flat to fund a new studio and working from his office to reduce costs. That decision provided the strategic inflection point to change to free-to-play games. A publishing deal followed, which allowed his studio to generate repeat revenues and build a platform to grow.
He went on to establish multiple game development studios, head teams, and launch commercially successful games over the years. His experience varies from small-scale development to dealing with publishers, managing monetization, and scaling for large audiences.
Outside of development, he speaks at conferences, universities, and podcasts about game business strategies and sustainable development. He also mentors independent developers, offering guidance on creating and growing a studio.
Outside the office, he occupies himself playing with his baby son and arguing game design with his programmer wife. He attributes patience, flexibility, and learning from failure as the keys to long-term success. Serhii embraces engagement with entrepreneurs and developers. He publishes a newsletter with insights, creates LinkedIn posts for discussion, and tweets business news. He is just as pleased to offer advice to those who would wish to engage with him on game development as on conducting business.
Jennifer Gasner received her BA in English from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and her MS in recreation from Western Illinois University. Her work with Independent Living Centers enabled her to learn about various disability programs throughout the country and ignited her passion for disability culture. She relocated to San Diego, California, on her own at the age of twenty-eight.
As a mentor for What’s Next, a program for youth with disabilities, and as co-chair of UC San Diego’s Staff Association for staff with disabilities, Jennifer solidified her role in the San Diego disability community. In 2020, Jennifer became an ambassador for the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), raising awareness about Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). She participated in Rare Across America, meeting with legislators to discuss laws affecting more than 25 million Americans living with one or more rare diseases.
Jennifer is a member of the San Diego Memoir Writers Association, and her writing has been published in Shaking the Tree, volumes 3 and 4. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, movies, and traveling. She lives with her boyfriend Gregory and their dog. My Unexpected Life: Finding Balance Beyond My Diagnosis is her first book.

Mark Steven Porro, a New Jersey native (Exit 163), holds an Industrial Design degree from The Ohio State University. After years of agency work, his love of acting led him to Hollywood, where he appeared in dozens of television, film, and theatre productions. Mark also spent his twenty-eight years in Hollywood, entrepreneuring. He started five non-profit companies, but hold the applause. None were intended to be. He now lives in the South of France, but hold your pity. He of sound mind and body chose to suffer in the heart of wine country where the locals insist his French isn’t so bad—at least that’s what he thinks they’re saying.
Mark is an award-winning designer, writer, director, and now a Best Selling and Award-Winning author. He has written lots of jokes, several screenplays, and one award-winning short film. A Cup of Tea on the Commode—a sad, sweet, and funny debut memoir—chronicles his multitasking adventures of filling his mother’s last years with love, laughter, and joy. Though not always successful, he came pretty damn close. And he survived to tell the tale.
Ryan Lindner is a personal and professional development specialist who has worked as a behavioral coach for clients and top organizations all over the world. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and animals, and finds peace near his favorite spots by the beach.

Ana Parra Vivas is an Internationally Bestselling, Multi-Award-Winning Author, and Well-Balanced Lifestyle Manifestation Expert.
After achieving success in a high-level marketing position at a Fortune 500 company, Ana felt burnout, frustrated, and guilty that her career was taking time away from her children and family. She did not feel fulfilled as a woman and harbored negative feelings and thoughts that caused her stress and anxiety.
She changed her thinking and established mental habits that gave her the strength and confidence to homeschool her two children, write her first book, strengthen her marriage, and become a very creative vegan chef – which she would accomplish in one year.
Drawing on her own experiences, Ana teaches working moms how to achieve ultimate work-life balance by guiding them with activity management strategies, cultivating daily healthy mental habits, and unlocking the power to manifest a new chapter of success and prosperity in their personal and professional lives.
Jennifer Haskin is passionate about helping new authors with their writing journey, as well as achieving their publishing goals. Eight years ago, she learned the ropes of the publishing world as a literary agent for a boutique agency before moving to a New York-based agency (then had to drop out for a string of back surgeries), then she returned as a publishing consultant, helping authors ready their submission materials to get the best shot at the contract of their dreams, and now she works as a professional Reedsy editor, Associate Editor for a small press, and head editor of her own business.
Jennifer debuted as a traditionally published author, but she prefers the control of indie publishing. She markets her YA scifi/fantasy/romance fiction novels and non-fiction series “The Journey to a Bestseller” and is always writing a new series. Her website features a blog that’s been called “a hidden gold mine of information” for new authors that documents some of her own writing journey with weekly advice on writing, editing, publishing, and marketing. She’s been on all sides of the publishing business. She runs a weekly writers’ workshop and is honored to be a judge for the annual writing contest Ink & Insights. Come find her on social media and say hi @haskinauthor.
