I’ve been an avid reader all my life. There’s nothing I love more than losing myself in a story.
Oddly enough, I had no ambition to be a writer. But I wound up in mid-life with a story that begged to be told. Not just any story, but a true story that rivaled any fiction creation. Through fictitious characters, the tale came to life in an intricately woven tale that encompasses four books. Not satisfied to stop with the books, I released music CDs of original music matching the time period of each story segment. In conclusion, to bring the story full circle, I published a book of poetry and art. I was done.
Wrong!
The story ideas keep coming, and I don’t intend to turn off the creative fountain.
I love all things metaphysical and often include those aspects in my stories.
I am a member of the Author’s Marketing Guild, The Writer’s League of Texas, Story Empire, and the Paranormal Writer’s Guild. I am an avid fan of Texas music and grandmother of five beautiful souls. I reside in North Texas.
Hannah Byron is an acclaimed author of historical fiction centered on WWII resistance women. Born in Paris in the mid-1950s to a British mother and a Dutch father, she grew up with strong ties to France, the UK, and Holland, which continue to inspire her work. Most of her novels are set in Western Europe, where history and culture run deep.
After decades of balancing life as a mother, university professor, and translator, Hannah is now a full-time author. She writes passionate novels about resistance and romance set in the 20th century—topics close to her heart. Readers often describe Byron’s work as gripping, deeply emotional, and impossible to put down.
USA Today Bestselling author K.C. Sivils is the creator of several several fictional series of characters in the genres of historical fiction, scifi crime noir, and modern noir. An Amazon Best Selling author of non-fiction, Sivils has authored over thirty books. He has collaborated with other authors to create works of fiction that have earned Amazon Best Seller status in numerous categories.
His Inspector Thomas Sullivan series combines classic crime noir stylings with science fiction. Inspired by the classic film adaptation by Ridley Scott of Philip K. Dick’s scifi classic Do Androids Dream of Electric sheep into the masterful Harrison Ford vehicle Bladerunner encouraged him to consume as much of both genre’s as possible.
A fan of past noir masters such as Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler, Sivils also enjoys the current generation of storytellers like Renee Pawlish and Dan Petrosini.
His other series include the FBI Agent Nelson Paine series, set in the WW II and early Cold War eras featuring murder and espionage, and modern Southern noir with his James Benoit “Heat” Heatley Private Investigator series.
A dog lover, Sivils is the married father of three children and currently makes his home in Katy, Texas.
Elisabeth Storrs has long had a passion for the history, myths and legends of the ancient world. She graduated from University of Sydney in Arts Law, having studied Classics. Her curiosity piqued by an Etruscan sarcophagus depicting a couple embracing for eternity, she discovered the little known story of the struggle between Etruscan Veii and Republican Rome and the inspiration to write the A TALE OF ANCIENT ROME series.
Elisabeth lives with her husband and two sons in Sydney, Australia, and over the years has worked as a solicitor, corporate lawyer and corporate governance consultant. She is the founder of the Historical Novel Society Australasia and heads the team for the $100,000 ARA Historical Novel Prize. Feel free to contact her at [email protected]
THE WEDDING SHROUD was endorsed by Ursula Le Guin and judged runner-up in the 2012 Sharp Writ Book Awards for general fiction. THE GOLDEN DICE, was endorsed by Ben Kane and was a first place category winner in the 2014 Chaucer Awards. The third book, CALL TO JUNO, was endorsed by Kate Quinn and was selected as an Editor’s Choice in the HISTORICAL NOVELS REVIEW in 2016, and won a first place category in the 2017 Chaucer Awards.
The Italian edition of THE WEDDING SHROUD, entitled IL VELO NUZIALE, was released in 2023 by Altre Voci Edizioni with the remaining two books in the trilogy to be released in 2024 and 2025.
Cindy Kay Stewart, a retired high school teacher and current church pianist, writes stories of hope, steeped in love, and anchored in faith. She is passionate about revealing God’s handiwork in history. Cindy’s debut novel, Abounding Hope, finaled in the 2024 Holt Medallion Award, the 2024 FHL Reader’s Choice Award, and the 2024 Christian Market Book Award.
A native of Southern California, Cindy has lived on both coasts, including a sojourn in between. She’s currently happy to make her home in North Georgia where she enjoys the peaches. Cindy graduated from Bob Jones University, where she went for her “Mrs.” degree. She was successful, and after forty-three years, her husband still puts up with her. While at BJU, she also earned a bachelors in elementary education. She later earned a masters degree in secondary education/history from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and School Leadership Certification through Kennesaw State University.
Cindy has always enjoyed telling stories—first to her dolls and teddy bears and then to her neighborhood playmates. She wrote her first book of stories and poems in second grade.
Cindy’s desire to write Christian novels was kindled after college, but it wasn’t until her daughter married that she had time to invest in the art of writing and publishing fiction. She had to promptly forget everything she’d learned about writing in school and develop a new skill set. That skill has grown through the years.
Cindy loves to research and “dig up” fascinating nuggets from history to share with her readers. She enjoys surprising people by weaving true historical events into her fiction—especially those happenings that seem too unbelievable to be true. But they are and she can prove it!
Cindy loves playing the piano and singing in the choir at her church. She’s an extrovert, which sometimes gets her in trouble. She tends to talk too much and has been known to drive her friends crazy at times. After thirty-two years in education, she retired to pursue her dream of publishing Christian historical fiction.
It’s a good thing that Cindy’s husband is a gourmet cook or the family would starve. She can follow a recipe, but who has time to read one?
Most of all, Cindy loves to point people to Jesus Christ, her Redeemer, and she wants others to experience the same joy He’s poured out on her so abundantly.

Saskia is a writer of historical fiction, with a particular interest in the Medieval period. As the Covid pandemic forced many people to pause and reflect on their lives, she took advantage of this time to pursue her lifelong aspiration of becoming a published author.
The memory of the moment Saskia knew she wanted to be a writer is still vivid in her mind. She was just a young girl, tagging along with her mother to Leicester Square in London to watch Gone with the Wind. The grand screen, plush red velvet seats, and the usherettes selling mini tubs of vanilla ice cream all contributed to an enchanting atmosphere. But it was the captivating story; A tale of love, loyalty, and patriotism that ignited her passion for historical fiction.
In addition to her professional bookkeeping skills, Saskia has also studied creative writing. However, during her pursuit of a law degree, she decided to enroll in a module on the history of the English legal system. This course shed light on its origins with Feudal barons, the Magna Carta, and King John – all of which captivated Saskia’s interest in this era, and this is the period in time which her novels represent.
Saskia aims to delight her audience with captivating tales. Her writing style is effortless yet engrossing, transporting readers into a medieval world filled with diverse relationships and settings. While her stories are based on real events and feature historical figures, she also weaves in fictional characters to enhance the narrative. Although some timelines may be altered for storytelling purposes, Saskia’s main goal is to bring this fascinating era to life for her readers.
When she’s not writing, Saskia can be found walking Rocket, her border collie, through the ancient woodland surrounding her home, drawing inspiration for her next novels. Alternatively, she’s out enjoying the company of friends, often heading to London to catch a show while enjoying a glass or two of prosecco, or she’s cooking a Sunday roast for her husband and sons.
Veronica is a master storyteller specializing in time travel and clean romance, spiced with action and suspense to thrill her readers. In her captivating short stories, she creates a scenario for the Light, a special source of energy for good that outshines any darkness and brings peace and calm.
As an energy (Light) worker, Veronica infuses each tale with a unique vibrancy as she transports readers through space and time. She loves nothing better than sipping a cup of tea on the deck of her mountain home amongst the oaks and flowering garden, taking in the view of the verdant valley below, and gaining inspiration for the next enticing short story.

THANK YOU for visiting my author page! As you read this I’ll probably be writing from my tall stone house which was once a school and built in 1902. This is a house that is “new” in English terms, as many of our local villages date back to the 1630’s or even earlier.
I write historical fiction, a genre I love. I loved the Victorian classics such as Jane Eyre, Little Women, Lorna Doone and Wuthering Heights. As I child I loved to read and when I had read my own library books, I used to borrow my mother’s library copies of Anya Seton and Daphne du Maurier. I have loved reading historical novels ever since; though I’m a bookaholic and I read widely – contemporary and classic fiction as well as historicals.
In the past I used to work as a set and costume designer for theatre and TV, so I enjoy the research aspect of creating historical fiction, something I loved doing as a scenographer. More details of my research and writing process can be found on my website. I like to write about extraordinary characters set against the background of real historical events.
I live in North Lancashire on the edge of the Lake District, a beautiful area made famous by the Romantic Poets such as Wordsworth and Coleridge. I love exploring the mountainous landscapes and interesting coastline near my home.
‘Her characters are so real that they linger in the mind long after the book is back on the shelf. Highly recommended. ‘ The Historical Novels Review.
